The creatures of the forest

Glow rabbits

The enchanting forest was believed to be protected by moonlight during the night, and all the forest's magical creatures honoured the moon by celebrating it. They gathered for dinner under the full moonlight, danced joyfully around the campfire, and shared folk tales about the forest. Each day as the moon faded, people locked themselves in their houses as darkness prevailed in the forest.

On a no-moon day, people feared the lord of darkness. It was believed that whoever touched the feet of darkness would become a prisoner of the dark and never see the light of happiness.

But there was one animal that never feared the darkness: rabbits. The dark was intrigued by the way rabbits behaved; they never seemed to care about anything, and their skin was a striking contrast to the dark as they hopped around playing near the mushrooms, carefree. Darkness feared them.

On the next full moon night, as the celebrations began, the creatures of the forest prayed to the moon, asking it to protect them during the no-moon day. The moon, pleased by the way it was celebrated, wanted to help them, but it was cursed to fade to be reborn.

Thinking about this, the moon decided to transfer some of its power to the rabbits since the darkness feared them. So on every full moon night, these rabbits would absorb the moonlight and emit it during the no-moon night, protecting the forest and its creatures from the dark.

The creatures called them Glow rabbits.
