Winter Cafe

The night is silent and most of the population in the town had already called off for the day, You and your friends having met after a long time decide to have dinner in a nearby cafe. As you ride through the avenue lifting your hands up in the air, allowing the cold breeze to swiftly brush your hair, You find a neon light of red flickering behind a tree.

'Winter cafe' the signage read.

'There' you shout, freaking out your friends as they relish the cold breeze. 'There, there is a cafe,' you kept shouting in your excitement. Stopping the vehicle there, you see a small cafe welcoming you with its mellow warm light.

You and your friends jangle in making people inside the cafe freak out. Inside, you find two 4-seater and one 2-seater wooden table. Wooden chairs on one side and a sofa on the other side aligned to the wall with brown leather cushions that matched the post-modern murals on the wall. The walls were finished with grey stucco that matched the shade of polished concrete flooring. The cafe had a scent of freshly baked chocolate brownies, Caramel and freshly brewed coffee. The two-seater was occupied by a couple who whispered to each other. There is a tall young man behind the counter who belongs to the cafe.

As you look out for the table, You hear a disturbing noise of dragging tables. Your friends were trying to put tables together and you joined them to help by dragging chairs with the same disturbing noise. Once you all are settled, the tall guy asks you and your friends for an order, and it starts "I want this" "I don't want that" and "What is weird food on the menu". After a few long minutes of loud discussion, you make a list of orders that will take some time to arrive. Couples who were in the cafe decided to leave for you people to have your privacy.

Slowly the conversation started one by one telling their life's current scenario, Discussing the change of plans in life, and telling about new plans in life. The food kept arriving and the talks went on until you didn’t know if there was nothing to talk about or if it was a food coma. All you have now is a roller coaster of emotions, funny moments, lots of food, happy you, and the best people sitting around you giggling and laughing. And that’s the thing about late-night cafes during winter.
